Final Details

 

Venue and parking

Brimham Rocks and Moor near Harrogate.  Grid Ref of car park: SE 208645.  Postcode HG3 4DW.   Sign posted from the B6165 Ripley to Pateley Bridge Road (RH fork at end of Burnt Yates village). 

Early parking (along with registration for on-day entries) will be in the National Trust ‘far’ car park (past the main NT parking).  Please follow signs / marshals instructions.  Park only in National Trust car parks. Pay and Display £3.50 for up to 4 hours – coins only in the machines. NT members free. Once the 'far' car park is full, the main NT car parks will be used. You must pay & display which ever car park you are in.

Parking space is restricted – please share if possible & arrive early rather than late.

Facilities

All  parking is on hard standing.  National Trust Toilets will be open.  These are approx 200m past the start on the main track.  The National Trust café will not be open.  YHOA junior squad cake stall in car park. Water at finish.

Courses

 

Badge courses:  JM/W 1 to 4; JM5L/M/S; JW5L/S; M/W 21-75L/S; M/W 21V Colour-coded courses: White, Yellow, Orange and Light Green.  A free String course will also be provided.

Maps

Maps will be printed on waterproof paper.

Times

On day Registration - 10.00 to 12.00                    Courses close 14:30

Starts - 10.30 to 12.30                           

Start Times  / Procedure

There will be no start times allocated. 

The start is approx 600m along a wide track from the car parking / registration area.

Arrive at the start and queue as appropriate for your course.

Pre–entry competitors will have a name check at the start.

On the day competitors will be given a ticket at registration.  This will be handed over at the Start.

 

On day fees

All colour coded and limited badge entries.

Badge: Seniors £11.00 (£9 BOF)

Colour coded: Seniors £7.00 (£5 BOF)

Juniors £3.00

Juniors £2.00

 

E-Punching and dibbers

Sportident will be used on all courses.

Dibbers available for hire.  Seniors £1.00,  Juniors    50p

 

 

Dogs

Dogs need to be kept under strict control at all times

Safety

Competitors take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety. Whistles will be compulsory. Cagoules may also be compulsory.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, details will be posted on the Claro website.  Information can also be obtained by phoning the organiser.  Part of the entry fee may be retained to cover committed expenses.
