Venue and parking |
The area
is approximately 5 miles north of Otley, 7 miles west of Harrogate.
Parking should be accessed from the B6451, just north of Lindley Wood
Reservoir. The event will be signed from the north from the A59 and from
the south the bridge in Otley.
Please only approach the event
from the B6451 (not from the B6161/Otley Road) as the road is narrow and
gated. (Best approach from Harrogate is to take A59 or Penny Pot Lane
or Norwood Lane off Otley Road to B6541).

Map and terrain |
1:10,000 map
with 5m contours. Lindley Moor comprises two connected areas. The
Eastern area is forested, with some felled areas, gently sloping to the
west with a few tracks, numerous ditches and a mix of runability. The
Western area known as Norwood Edge is steeper with rock features and
varied vegetation. Accessing the
most western
area , Warren Plantation, involves a road crossing and is visited by the
longer courses only. Competitors will need to take good care crossing
the road.
Warren Plantation (also know as Stainburn) is popular with mountain
bikers so please watch out for cyclists . It’s worth bringing your bike
along for after the event if you like man made technical trails. |

the car park and the finish 600m. String course. |
